DERMAL FILLERS
Dermal fillers are FDA-approved injectable products commonly made of hyaluronic acid, or HA. Hyaluronic acid is a substance already found in (and loved by) your skin. Together with collagen, it acts as your body’s natural volumizer, cushioning skin cells and helping them retain moisture. Dermal Fillers contain Hyaluronic and are a safe and effective treatment that provides you with a youthful look without the downtime or high cost of surgery—and the results are immediate. The aging process causes the skin to reduce in volume and fullness due to the production of HA, which keeps the skin supple. When combined with environmental factors, this moisture reduction can cause the development of sagging tissues and deep lines and wrinkles on the face. Dermal Filler treatments fill in lines and plump the skin from the inside out, resulting in a more youthful appearing face, lips, and hands. Fillers “fill in” soft tissues on the face through the use of the rehydrating and naturally-occurring substance in the body called hyaluronic acid (HA). Patients who get dermal filler injections can plump up their skin to restore volume and fill in lines for a softer, youthful complexion.

Facial Volume Loss As We Age
Why does this facial volume loss occur? As we age, structural proteins like collagen and elastin slowly diminish. The fat pads in the face also begin to break down, sometimes shifting to other parts of the face. This causes a change in the shape and structure of the face. Both men and women equally face facial volume loss. Your genetics and sun exposure can contribute to an aged appearance and make these signs of aging impossible to conceal. Fortunately, the dermal filler service offered at Lush Skin Aesthetics helps to restore volume loss and lessen wrinkles, fine lines, and folds. This service causes minimal discomfort and has little to no downtime.
