DERMAL FILLERS

Dermal fillers are FDA-approved injectable products commonly made of hyaluronic acid, or HA. Hyaluronic acid is a substance already found in (and loved by) your skin. Together with collagen, it acts as your body’s natural volumizer, cushioning skin cells and helping them retain moisture. Dermal Fillers contain Hyaluronic and are a safe and effective treatment that provides you with a youthful look without the downtime or high cost of surgery—and the results are immediate. The aging process causes the skin to reduce in volume and fullness due to the production of HA, which keeps the skin supple. When combined with environmental factors, this moisture reduction can cause the development of sagging tissues and deep lines and wrinkles on the face. Dermal Filler treatments fill in lines and plump the skin from the inside out, resulting in a more youthful appearing face, lips, and hands. Fillers “fill in” soft tissues on the face through the use of the rehydrating and naturally-occurring substance in the body called hyaluronic acid (HA). Patients who get dermal filler injections can plump up their skin to restore volume and fill in lines for a softer, youthful complexion.

Facial Volume Loss As We Age

Why does this facial volume loss occur? As we age, structural proteins like collagen and elastin slowly diminish. The fat pads in the face also begin to break down, sometimes shifting to other parts of the face. This causes a change in the shape and structure of the face. Both men and women equally face facial volume loss. Your genetics and sun exposure can contribute to an aged appearance and make these signs of aging impossible to conceal. Fortunately, the dermal filler service offered at Lush Skin Aesthetics helps to restore volume loss and lessen wrinkles, fine lines, and folds. This service causes minimal discomfort and has little to no downtime.

HOW DOES YOUR SKIN CHANGE AS YOU AGE?

As we age, structural proteins like collagen and elastin slowly diminish, our facial volume depletes, and fine lines and wrinkles begin to form. Your genetics and sun exposure can contribute to an aged appearance and make these signs of aging impossible to conceal. Fortunately, the services of Dermal Fillers offered at Lush Skin Aesthetics allow patients to take years off of their appearance with minimal discomfort and little to no downtime. Results from dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, and Revance will be immediately apparent. They will typically last for about six months up to fifteen months, depending on the product used, the patient, and the severity of their concerns.

WHAT ARE DERMAL FILLERS?

Dermal fillers, or facial fillers, take a different approach to tackle signs of aging. Fillers “fill in” soft tissues on the face through the use of natural ingredients such as hyaluronic acid (HA).

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a naturally-occurring substance in the body and plays a key role in keeping the skin looking youthful and voluminous. Its smooth and soft composition makes it an ideal substance for filling in fine lines, wrinkles, and sunken contours of the face. Lush Skin Aesthetics, we offer patients Juvederm, Restylane, and Revance HA fillers.HA fillers are long-lasting and safe as the substance is absorbed by the body over time. Juvederm, Restylane, and Revance can help you to:

  • Get fuller and plumper lips
  • Restore facial volume to hollowed cheeks
  • Diminish nasolabial folds that run vertically from the nose to the mouth
  • Soften marionette lines
  • Contour and sculpt the jawline
  • Fill-in bags beneath the eyes

During your initial consultation, we will carefully listen to your concerns and goals to help you determine whether Juvederm, Restylane, or Revance is more appropriate for the signs of aging present on your skin.
